Advertising creative turned photographer… that's the short version.

The longer one goes like this: I have a degree in Art Direction from the Center for Creative Studies and for 30 years, my job was coming up with print and television ideas for advertising and then selecting which photographers and directors were good enough to shoot those ideas. Turns out that's a pretty solid way to learn photography, retouching and production. As an Art Director and Creative Director, I created and produced local and national campaigns for Jeep, Honda, Dodge, Chevrolet, Buick, Pfizer, Campbell's Soup, and Colgate, which means I spent three decades looking at director and photographer websites, evaluating them, then selecting the best person to bring those ideas to life. Now I bring that same advertising grade eye to headshots, brand photography, portraits, and commercial shoots for businesses and individuals across Metro Detroit. Based in Royal Oak.
